From the recording A Day Without Time
You can hear the influence of psychedelic rock, yet the piece still carries Lumi’s distinctive ingenuity. It opens with grand synthesizers and chanting that immediately push the emotion forward, then gradually leads into the narrative. The bass and flute lines intertwine and tumble around each other, and only after an extended instrumental passage does the vocal return — this time entering the main perspective. There is a touch of sorrow, but the arrival of the guitar introduces a sense of Chinese classicist aesthetics. The track ultimately concludes with three misaligned, overlapping vocal lines.
Lyrics
Real Past
Lyrics & Music by Lumi Liu
It's me, one piece of me in this moment i cannot give up to try
For my life
Holy shit, the past wasn't real past
All over i'm falling
Again
Who want say goodbye
suicide in this summer
And I am crying
